Privacy Policy

How Franchise Evidence handles email, Cloudflare hosting and cookieless analytics, and preferences saved in your browser. Advertising remains off.

The short version

Franchise Evidence operates this site as an independent, unincorporated publication. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].

There are no accounts, forms, comments, subscriptions or newsletters. Advertising is off. We use cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics. We do not sell personal information, share it for advertising, or pass inquiries to franchise sellers or brokers.

What is processed

Email. If you contact us, we receive your address, message, attachments and information you choose to include. We use these to answer inquiries, investigate corrections, keep necessary records and meet legal obligations. We do not add you to a mailing list. Please avoid sending passwords, identity documents or financial account details.

Hosting and security. Cloudflare hosts and protects the site. Page requests involve technical data such as IP addresses, browser details, requested URLs and request times. Cloudflare may use necessary security cookies. Protected previews use Cloudflare Access to authenticate authorized reviewers; the research site has no visitor accounts. We do not use request data for advertising profiles.

Your browser. Comparison selections and screener preferences are saved in local storage on your device. Clear this site’s browser data to remove them. There is no server-side account holding your selections. Shared links may include selected brands or filters; recipients and hosting providers can see those URLs. Keep personal information out of them.

Analytics. Cloudflare Web Analytics reports page views, visits, popular pages, referrers, country-level traffic and page-load performance. It does not use cookies or local storage for analytics, fingerprint visitors, or track individuals across websites. The analytics snippet is included on production, not protected staging.

Providers and disclosure

Cloudflare hosts the site, provides security and analytics, and forwards incoming mail. Google processes correspondence in the private administrative inbox; Mailjet (Sinch) delivers outbound email, with open/click tracking disabled. See the privacy notices from Cloudflare, Google and Mailjet.

Information may be disclosed to these providers as needed to operate the site, comply with law or lawful process, prevent abuse, or with your permission. Providers may process it in the United States and other countries. Public correction records identify the affected research and change; we avoid including correspondents’ personal details or attributing private messages without permission, unless legally required.

Retention

Contact correspondence may be retained for up to 24 months after the last substantive exchange, where reasonably needed for inquiries, corrections or recordkeeping. We delete it sooner when unnecessary. A specific legal obligation, dispute or preservation requirement may require retaining relevant messages longer.

Correction records without personal correspondence may remain in the research history. Providers control their infrastructure-log and backup retention. Browser preferences remain on your device until you clear them.

Your rights

Email [email protected] to ask about information we hold or request access, correction or deletion. We respond under the law applicable to your request and may need enough information to locate messages and verify your authority. We avoid requesting unnecessary identity documents. Legal obligations may limit deletion.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals do not change our current practices: sale, advertising sharing and targeted advertising are off for everyone. Any later advertising activation or material change in tracking requires an updated notice and legally required choices first.

Children and changes

This US-operated publication is for adult business research, not children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children’s information; contact us if a child has sent personal data so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

Effective September 6, 2026; updated September 7 to describe Cloudflare Web Analytics. Material revisions will be described here with an updated date, with additional notice or consent where required. This policy does not limit rights provided by applicable law.
